TITICACA LAKE

LPB Huatajata Kala Uta - Isla Pariti - 6 hours

Mysterious Titikaca Lake, full of myths, legends and stories, the tour includes visits chullpares Kala Uta  and Pariti island where the natives have created a museum which displays tiwanakota ceramics that were developed around 1.000 years ago and find recently,  admirable finely finished and the type of morphologies never before known in the culture Aymara. The 40 families of fishermen who inhabit the island of Pariti safeguard and presented this ceramics in  their own archaeological museum.

LPB Copacabana and Sun Island - Full Day

Titicaca Lake far one and a half hour from La Paz city, is the world's highest navigable lake, covering an area of 8.330 square kilometers, where we can found Inca and Aymara cultures, whose relics can be seen in the Sun And Moon Islands and in the attractive town of Copacabana, a beautiful peninsula, where religious and mystical highlights the Moorish-style cathedral, home to the miraculous virgin India of the seventeenth century. In the surroundings are as important pre-Columbian ruins of the Inca Horca, the seat of the Inca.

LPB La Paz-Copacabana - Isla del Sol - La Paz - 2 days and 1night

Day 1: LA PAZ-COPACABANA - SUN ISLAND
Pick up  from the hotel in La Paz toward Copacabana town, located on the shores of Titicaca Lake. Along the way you have a magnificent view of the Cordillera Real with its major snow as the Tuni Condoriri and Huayna Potosi. After lunch, departure by motor boat to the Sun Island, visit the ruins of Pilcokaina and Yumani where the staircases of the 1000 bleachers, which will lead us towards "The Fountain of Eternal Youth". Return to Copacabana, dinner and lodging.

Day 2: COPACABANA-LA PAZ
After breakfast, visit the Cathedral of Copacabana, where we found the famous Virgen Morena carved by Tito Yupanqui. Visit the Calvary, where we can see a Kalawaya ceremony. Time to take lunch and in the afternoon go back by bus to La Paz or connection to Puno (Peru).

LPB Copacabana - Islands of Sun and Moon - Hydrofoil - 2 days and 1 night

Day 1: LA PAZ-COPACABANA-ISLAND OF THE MOON AND THE SUN
Departure at 06:00 a.m. by bus from La Paz to Huatajata, where we visit the Andean Roots Cultural Complex.
Continue sailing in the Hydrofoil to the Moon Island, to visit Palacio de la Nustas and continue to Copacabana town, where we have time to visit the Cathedral and the Virgen Morena, the main square and market. Continue in the Hydrofoil to the Sun Island, where we will visit  PilkoKaina Palace, inca’s staircase and the Source of eternal youth. Walk for 30 minutes to the Hotel “Posada del Inca”, where we will have the lunch. Free afternoon to visit the island. Dinner and lodging.

Day 2: SUN ISLAND - HUATAJATA-LA PAZ
Breakfast, free morning and about a half-day we descend to the Port of Yumani. Lunch in Restaurant and departure by Hydrofoil to Huatajata to take the bus bound for La Paz.

Includes: Bus La Paz-Huatajata-La Paz, Sun Island accommodations, breakfast, lunch and dinner, bilingual guide, Cruise in Hydrofoil.

LPB Copacabana – Sun Island - Catamaran Cruises - 2 days and 1 night

Day 1: LA PAZ-SUN ISLAND
Early in the morning transfer by road into the Titicaca Lake to Chua to board the catamaran cruise, breakfast is served while sailing towards the Sun Island cradle of the Inca Empire. In this legendary island we will visit the Garden, Steps and the Inca Source, also the itinerary includes a visit to Inti Wata Cultural Complex, the largest private tourist attraction in Bolivia. It includes the underground museum, the Inca’s garden, the largest variety of Andean camelids located on the lookout "Manco Capac". The visit to Inti Wata Complex also includes the ability to sail aboard a huge raft typical of reeds and visit the palace of Pilkokaina.

Continue by the catamaran to Challapampa, a small and lonely town located in the north of the Sun Island, which offers the opportunity to take contact with the residents of Challapampa, and participate of an innovative program organized with them, visit the chapel, a small museum, take part in ancestral rituals, folklore demonstrations and navigates Typical board their boats. Likewise, the program includes a walk through the Inca trail to visit the temple of the Inca Chinkana and gifts of welcome designed by the villagers themselves.

Romantic dinner by candlelight and spend the night aboard the catamaran in cabins with private bath and outside view.

Day 2: SUN ISLAND-COPACABANA-LA PAZ

The next morning sailing catamaran Copacabana to enjoy the majestic panorama. In Copacabana visit the Shrine, lunch and transportation by road back to La Paz or connection to Puno.

Includes: One night accommodation on board the catamaran, bilingual guide, meals on board the catamaran cruise.
