MADIDI NATIONAL PARK

PB T. NAT Jungle – Private or share package  - 3 days and 2 nights

Day 1: At 9:00 a.m. go out boating on the river Beni to enter the Madidi National Park, one of the most biodiverse parks in the world. After about 3 hours of travel we arrived at our hostel Tacuaral, which is located on the banks of the river Tuichi. Lunch and rest a while in a hammock. In the afternoon we walk with our guide through the forest where we have the chance to see wild animals such as different species of monkeys, deer, mountain pigs, capybaras or birds. After dinner we made a nocturnal walk to appreciate the sounds of the jungle and to observe nocturnal animals.

Day 2: Breakfast and then visited an area called Caquiawara, a Salitral where we can see parrots and parabas. From a viewpoint we have a spectacular view and a good chance of taking pictures of parrots and parabas who come to eat the clayey soil. We returned to our hostel for lunch. In the afternoon we go out to fish in the river Tuichi or have a walk in the jungle. The fish most prized by tourists in this area are painted surubí, pacú white mamuré, surubí tabby and shad. Dinner and rest.

Day 3: During a walk in the morning our guide explains the medicinal use of some of the thousands of plant species that are found in the jungle. When we returned to our hostel we can make crafts for the seeds that we collected during the walk. After lunch, and we have enough time to relax before returning by boat to Rurrenabaque, where we arrived approximately at 5:00 p.m.   

LPB T. NAT - The Pampas -  Private or share package - 3 days and 2 nights

Pampas near the village of Santa Rosa, this is an area of Sheets (Pampa), which is divided by a river meandering generally characterized by abundant vegetation, ideal for observation of animals. It has a very high diversity and abundance of wildlife: capybara, pink dolphins, monkeys, toucans, anacondas and others.

Day 1: Flight La Paz - Rurrenabaque. Airport transfer to Reyes and Santa Rosa, arrival and accommodation in Caracoles Hostel. In the afternoon, walking in the vicinity of the area with the opportunity to observe the typical fauna of the region, especially river dolphins and alligators. Dinner, night hike and lodging.

Day 2: 07:30 A.M. Breakfast. Walk around a marshy area, with the opportunity to observe anacondas. Box lunch. In the afternoon return to Hostel Caracoles. Dinner. Night hike and lodge Hostel Caracoles.

Day 3: Breakfast. Tour by canoe across the river Yacuma, having typical fauna of the area, especially monkeys. Return to Rurrenabaque, arriving hours to 18:00 pm

Includes: Transfer airport-hotel-airport in Rurrenabaque, according to food program, 2 nights at the hostel Snails, transportation, bilingual guides (English-Spanish)

Not included: Transfers hotel-airport-hotel in La Paz, airfare La Paz-Rurrenabaque-La Paz, entry into the Madidi National Park USD 10.-food and lodging in Rurrenabaque.

LPB T. COM -San Miguel del Bala - 2 days and 1 night

Day 1: Pick up from your hotel or airport in Rurrenabaque to address the port. We sail for 40 minutes by motor boat in the Beni River arrive at Eco-Hostel San Miguel del Bala. Accommodation in the lodge cabins with private bathroom and shower. After we hiking through the rainforest to learn the Tacanas’ techniques of hunting. Lunch. Short walk to the community of San Miguel to assess construction techniques, religion, preparation Sugarcane juice in the Trapiche (grinding manual). Return to the Eco-Hostel, dinner and lodging.

Day 2: After the breakfast surrounded by jungle and river view Beni we go by boat upriver to start an adventurous hike along a creek in the rainforest. During the guide explains about the species of wild flora and fauna present. After 1000 meters will come to a natural pool filled with crystal clear water of a very beautiful waterfall refreshing to take a bath. Return to the Ecolodge. Lunch. Hiking is a path for an area with many medicinal plants-Return to the Eco-Hostel to collect belongings and return to Rurrenabaque.

Includes: Transfer arrival and departure, 01 night's lodging, food during the tour, local guide.

LPB T. COM - Chalalán - 4 days and 3 nights

Day 1: LA PAZ-RURRENABAQUE
Departure from La Paz to Rurrenabaque by plane. Arriving in Rurrenabaque, transfer hotel, and free time to enjoy the town located near Beni River Beni. Overnight in Rurrenabaque.

Day 2: RURRENABAQUE-CHALALAN
Breakfast. Navigation on the Beni River in canoes going through the Extrecho del Bala. Continue by the Tuichi River and walk to the camp of ecological Chalalán. The journey by river to arrive in Chalalán takes 5 hours, and half-hour walk from the bridge to the camp, which is located on the shores of Lake Chalalan. Lunch and rest time. In the afternoon local guide will explain us the proyecto of the community of San Jose de Uchupiamonas and Madidi National Park, after walk along the paths and Chichili Mirador. Dinner and walk to see the nightlife.

Day 3: TROPICAL FOREST
After breakfast early in the morning we will have a hike through the jungle and forests to arrive in Rayamayo and Rivera Escalon. If you care you can observe parabas, iguanas, monkeys, capuchin and squirrel monkeys.
Our guides will share their knowledge about plants, nature and behaviour of animals during 5 hours. Alter a coffee break, we return to the camp early in the afternoon, on the way we will make some stops that offers a spectacular view of the lake and park.

Day 4: CHALAN-RURENABAQUE
After breakfast we walk to the port to take boat and go down by the rivers Tuichi towards Beni and Rurrenabaque where we arrive after three hours. Transfer to the airport.

Includes: Arrival and departure transfers, 01 nights in Rurrenabaque, 02 on ecolodge nights lodging, meals, and local guide.

LPB T. COM - Pilón Lajas Biosphere - Mapajo Project - 4 days and 3 nights

Day 1: Arrival at the airport in Rurrenabaque to continue by boat, during 3 hours sailing by Beni River and Quiquibey river to Pilón Lajas Biosphere Reserve where  the  Mapajo lodge is located. Lunch and walk by Mapajo ptahs, crafts activity with fruits of the forest, dinner and rest.

Day 2: Breakfast. Tour in Quiquibey river, lunch on the beach, afternoon walk along the path The Parabas, in the evening ride and tour in a boat, observing lizards, dinner and rest.

Day 3: Breakfast. Navigation on the river Rosarión. Activities to swim. Lunch and cultural exchange with the community of Asunción de Quiquibey. Dinner and traditional music. Rest.

Day 4: Breakfast. Tour through the community of Asunción of Quiquibey. Lunch and Return to Rurrenabaque. Transfer to the airport.                                        

Includes: Arrival and departure transfers, 03 nights lodging and food at the hostel, local guide.

Does not include airfares and translator USD 10 per day

WHAT TO TAKE:
The Amazon region has a warm and humid climate.
Long-sleeved shirts if possible cotton (for protection against mosquitoes and sun).
Long pants (for protection against mosquitoes and sun), thick jeans are not recommended.
