BOLIVIA - GENERAL INFORMATION

Bolivia is a country rich in biodiversity.  Its three ecological steps include a wide variety of flora, fauna and landscapes from the Andes to the Amazon. National and international travelers can explore our many historic and ethnographic treasures. Bolivia has 32 ethnic groups, each with its own colorful expressions of cultural diversity.


BENI

It is an impressive set by immense savannahs, tropical forests, hills and archaeological rivers, and abundant flora and fauna, which is located in eastern Bolivia.


COCHABAMBA

This colonial city is surrounded by fertile valleys fed by water from the Andes, is the third largest city in Bolivia.


LA PAZ

Located 3,610 meter above sea level, is known as the most important Andean cities and it is the main entrance to Bolivia. It almost rises as the feet of the majestic Illimani.


LAGO TITICACA

Known as the "Sacred Lake of the Incas, Lake Titicaca is a wonderful attraction for nature lovers, ready to enjoy a view of the eternal snow of the Cordillera Real in contrast to the blue waters of the lake.


LOS YUNGAS

It's called "Yungas" to the lush and fertile valleys subtropical located in the foothills of the Cordillera de Los Andes in the Department of La Paz.


MADIDI

The National Park and Integrated Management Natural Area Madidi is a destination of unmatched natural beauty is located in the northern department of La Paz, at the foot of the Andes. Their heights vary from 5600 meters. and the 180 m.s.n.m.


ORURO

The department of Oruro is  rich in folklore, pre-Columbian, ethnic and nature. It was the birthplace of one of the oldest civilizations of America "The Urus," and later was one of the most important kernels of Hearing Charcas, a product of the intense mining activity of the colony


POTOSI

A city located at higher altitude in the world (4,070 meters). It was founded in 1545 by the Spanish conquerors and is undoubtedly one of the rare places on the planet. Its cobblestone streets kept the thick and finely worked colonial buildings. For them, Potosi was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.


SALAR DE UYUNI

For more than 3,600 meters high salt crust is the largest in the world, the Salar de Uyuni.

The area of over 11,000 km2, offers the visitor a landscape indescribable, where this white desert appears to extend to infinity.


SANTA CRUZ

For its location, the warmth of its climate and its people the city of Santa Cruz has become the convention center, festivals and national and international meetings, developing a major hotel infrastructure with all the services, being ever-present options leisure and fun by visiting museums, malls, rivers, hot springs, villages and archaeological ruins centenarians.


SUCRE

The city is located in the South Central area of the country and lies at an altitude of 2,750 m. (9,100 feet). It is also known as Chuquisaca, Charcas and La Plata, which has received the nickname of "The City of Four Names." Since most of the colonial buildings in the center of town are painted white, which is also receives the name of "White City".


TARIJA

The city of Tarija surrounded by the Guadalquivir River, is located 1924 meters above sea level, its climate is mild and pleasant, its valleys have an average of 17 to 23 degrees and in the tropical places between 25 and 35 degrees, the rainy season includes the months of December through February.


TIWANAKU

It is the longest culture of South America, emerged in the vicinity of Lake Titicaca in the highlands of the Andes.
